Yuri Gagarin Park
The Gagarin park is located in the Leninsky district of Tyumen. The picturesque Park is one of the natural attractions of the Tyumen region. Its total area is 105 hectares. Before the World War II, the Park`s area was not less than 120 hectares. Аfter the war ended, part of the wood had to withdraw for the construction of the TB hospital and intensive care. In 2002 the Park received the status of a natural monument of regional significance. In the Park named after Y. A. Gagarin grow birch, pine trees, bushes, rare species of mushrooms and plants. It`s also a home for many species of animals. The Park is very beautiful, and therefore it is very popular among tyumen citizens and guests of the city.
