From 26 to 29 July 2017 the Boxing Championship of the Ural Federal district among men, dedicated to the memory of police Colonel Sergey Gritsenko will take place in Tyumen. 

The tournament will involve about 80 boxers of the Urals region over 18 years. The tournament is held in Tyumen region for the first time. The fights will take place under the rules of the discipline "Box": participants will perform in the ring without protective helmets that entertainment is as close to professional Boxing. Sportmen will compete in ten weight categories; age of participants is from 19 to 40 years. Competitions are qualifying; the winners of each weight category will participate in the Russian Boxing Championship, which will take place in Autumn 2017 in Grozny (Chechen Republic). 

Schedule of competions:

26 July 6 PM – solemn opening ceremony, preliminary fights;

27 July 4 PM – quarter final fights;

28 July, 4 PM – semi-final fights;

29 July At Noon – final fights, rewarding. 

 The legends of Soviet and Russian Boxing, Olympic Champions, World Champions, Europe, Russia and the USSR Alexander Povetkin, Egor Mekhontsev, Gaidarbek Gaydarbekov, Alexander Maletin, Nikolay Khromov, Vladimir Chernya, Camile Dzhamaludinov, Shamil Sobirov will support sportsmen.
